We continue to ask the authority to sort out the problems with Forest and Brooms Lane in Donyatt and Combe St. Nicholas. They have re-sited the gate near the spinney, which is excellent. And replaced a couple of other problem gates (photos below). The SSBA have offered to pay for an improvement to the crossing in the form of a culvert or bridge. We have asked that something is done before the winter, but are told to wait until the spring – in the meantime, please ride the route whenever you like, but be aware the stream crossing can become very boggy.
